The mission of this team is to responsibly intercept and report severe weather. We report directly to National Weather Service offices, TV/Media outlets, Law Enforcement, and other entities. Our sole purpose is in helping getting warnings out faster to the public. While we do photograph and video activity by nature, it is not a primary goal, and we do not sell it to anyone for profit. We are not in this to make money from other peoples demise. We are there to help in any way we can. Several members are also Fire Officers and Medics, and we will stop chasing to give medical attention and assist with rescue operations and public safety as needed. All members are ham radio operators and have extensive experience in all facets of severe weather, forecasting, driving in extreme conditions (safely), emergency communications, and take this interest very seriously. If you are looking for awesome video with irresponsible driving and screaming over getting good footage, you have come to the wrong place. If that is what you want to see, then we suggest you keep searching the internet. There is no glory in this. It is dangerous, and requires serious commitment from mature, responsible individuals. It is sometimes fun, and can be very expensive. All of our equipment, time, gas, and vehicles are out of pocket expense. We are not supported by anyone. We voluntarily do this as a public service, with a goal of getting warnings out faster, and learning weather traits and details via scientific experiments, as well as observing. Since 1993, we have been able to gain a good working relationship and respect from NWS, Media, City/County/State Law Enforcement, and will continue to do so. Thank you for visiting, and we hope you learn something or find the site useful.
